I'm going after a shy guy. At first when I heard he liked me I was like no but now I hope he does eventually ask me out. I like him but if he doesn't ask me then I might move on to others who want me. My birthdays coming up so I hope he does something special but I know he won't. He asks interested when we talk at school and then at home he doesn't talk to me at all. He does text but not very often. It makes me sad but I really like being his friend even if he is really close only at school in our shop. Maybe he will make his move but I can wait.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (8 February 2009):

well, i was always shy and i didnt know if the girl i liked liked me. When she told me she liked me i finally got the guts to ask her out. Now im totally changed. I feel like i can be so open and i dont feel shy any more. My advice is to tell him how you feel. The hardest part for a guy asking someone out is what the girl is thinking. Once i knew she would say yes, I asked her

And she was my first girlfriend so...i hope this helps!

didda123 agony auntI think you need to let him know that you really do like him. If he is shy he will be worried about asking you out incase he is rejected so i think if you give him plenty of signals that you won't do that he will be more likely to build up the courage.

Help him out a little you know he likes you so get your friends to let him know you feel the same.

Good luck x
