You maybe a late developer but it is not that unusual not to have started your periods yet. If you find you still haven't by 16 years then you need to see a doctor to determine if there are any medical explanations (e.g polycystic ovaries) for no periods. However, try not to worry as I am sure it will happen soon. You don't say if you used precautions when you were 13. You should be aware that if you do have sex in the month before your first period then you do stand a chance of pregnancy because you would have ovulated then. Of course you won't know when this is so you should develop some life-long contraceptive practices if you are sexually active.

I doubt that the fact you haven't started your period has anything to do with the fact you had sex. You may just be a late starter that's all. If you are really worried make an appointment to chat with your doctor. Just beware that you can still fall pregnant although you haven't started your period yet :)

No it's not because of the sex. Your period should be starting soon. If you're concerned about not having your period, you should talk to your doctor, but having sex is not a reason it hasn't started. Please always have protected sex until you are ready to have children.

Honey it could be that you are just a late developer! Do not worry about this. It is obvious you are not pregnant so there is no reason to think that if that is at the back of your mind.I have never heard of sex stopping you from having your period and a quite a few people do have sex before.Whatever you do, do not panic. Go to your GP or doctor and tell your mum (If she does'nt know about you having sex) to stay outside and speak to the GP in confidence, unless you want to tell her. Please message me when you have got this. I will speak more privately if you want. Any more questions, i am here. :)xx
