Okay... So I'm 13 and I'm 5'1 and I don't think I'm ever gonna get a bf! I have blond hair, blue eyes, but I'm 150lbs... Would you go out with me?! Do you think I'll ever get a bf?

You're only 13! Of course you will. Take your time getting to know guys, and let them get to know you and you'll find your Mr Right.

DoubleM agony auntOf course you will. Do not be in such a hurry. There are also plenty of chubby guys around, but a few simple measures can trim you up. Try walking a mile or two a day, cut back on whatever you know contributes to the problem and please realize that you are very young with a long life ahead of you. Pay heed to common sense things like leading a healthy lifestyle, avoid dangerous situations, and when you attain the age to drive, be very careful.

A male reader, Digiman Japan +, writes (7 November 2009):

Digiman agony auntXoxokatie: More than body size/shape, you should just work on being/becoming the best person you can be. Be true to your personal values, think about what you like about other people, what you value in a friend, etc. and try to be that way!

If you like yourself (and that HAS to come first!), then other people, the ones will really matter in your life, will be attracted to you!

Don't worry about your weight so much: there are plenty of guys out there who like girls/young women your size, and who will like you! Give it time...I'm sure you'll find a nice BF!

A male reader, Nic390 United States +, writes (7 November 2009):

Nic390 agony auntYeah you will. You sound perfectly fine. The thing is guys are all attracted by different things. The thing is at that ages lots are immature dumb so they try to date off what they think is hot in there mind. You should wait till high school the guys mature up a little. You want someone to like you because of who you are not how you look remember that.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (7 November 2009):

Plenty of guys like "bigger" girls, but please consider losing weight for your own health. I don't mean lose weight to look like a model, rather change your diet and exercise to get your BMI within a healthy range. Good luck :)
