What do you think??I am 14 years old and I always laugh at anything even though it isn't funny and people just look at me like I need medication or something, it makes me feel really low and sad when I see people's reaction and the way I am. Another thing is that I speak my mind (think out loud) then people think I am talking bad about them... and honestly I have no problem with nobody.... Sometimes I think I am different than anyone and I need help. Do you think I am awkward? Reply to this Question Share |

Sweetie its GREAT to be different. My old teacher would always say "Weird is normal and Normal is weird". You weren't put on earth to please anybody but yourself. So who cares what they think besides your only 14! The world is full of people who are just like you. If you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings than think before you speak. Its better that way[;

If you are different than everyone then be thankful. Don't try to conform yourself to other peoples views of what you should be or do. If you feel like your hurting peoples feelings when you talk you might want to think about what your saying first just so you don't offend people but just because you have your own personality is not a reason to think you need to change. I spent alot of time when I was younger feeling insecure about how other people thought of me and worrying that I was very different from other people. Noe that I'm a little older I can honestly say that I'd much rather be who I am and happy with myself then spend all my time trying to be popular and b e like everyone else. If you are unique your going to attract attention from other people who may either be jealous of how you managed to be different or they may just not understand what makes you tick but don't change because of it. You'll be much happier as you get older if you are able to be confident in yourself and stop caring what people think of you. Eventually you'll find other people who value your individuality and will probably enjoy your company more than someone who doesn't have the ability to think for themselves.

You are different to everyone else.
This happens to everyone in their teen years. They stop acting like kids and running round doing what everyone else is doing and then you become your own person.
Some people are a bit outgoing and some people are very introverted.
Outgoing people who laugh and speak and have fun generally get further in life than the people who hang around at the back waiting to see what everyone else does.
Just try and think before you speak to make sure it can't sound bad, or if it comes out sounding worse than you meant it then correct yourself.
Good Luck!! xx
