What if there isn't, because your life is a proof that it is just going bad with no breaks? Where do you get hope, if you don't see it in work?

Do we all get saved? Or some of us will suffer, to the last click?

Who said, things always work out for us? What if it is just an illusion to keep us going to nowhere?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (21 February 2009):

There is no real "justice", there is no karma, there is no fate, no "meant to be", there is no bigger plan, there is no picture you fit into, there is no hope. But you have yourself and you are a meaning-making machine, capable of constructing great, complicated systems of meaning and living very happily within them. Some of the happiest people in the world have learned to do this successfully.

When you ask - "is there hope? Will it get better? What's the point?" then you will get a very depressing answer. You need to ask instead, "what can I learn to hope for? What can I do to make things better? What am I going to MAKE my life?"

A male reader, saltwater United Kingdom +, writes (21 February 2009):

saltwater agony auntNo-one said things will always work out for us...people usually have to work things out for themselves.

You get out of life what you put it...put nothing in, and you'll most likely get nothing out with nothing to hope for.

Put things into life, and you'll have more hope of finding whatever your end-game is.

Some people look to religion for hope and inspiration, like reading the Bible or going to Church. Others have different methods of acquiring hope depending on different circumstances; some cultural, or medicinal hope, if a person is ill.

If you're suffering somehow, you need to address the cause and move forward with renewed hope.
