I've seen him out at the bar, but it's always been with a guy friend, and he's not gay or anything as far as I know.Do some guys just wear rings like girls wear fake engagement rings? Why doesn't he talk about his relationship, even to just say that they went somewhere last weekend or something?Do most guys just not talk about stuff like that? Most of my other guy friends talk about their gf all the time so I was just curious if that's normal or not. Reply to this Question Share |

A ring on a man's finger has so many more social connotations than one on a female's finger. That's probably why the mystery. If he doesn't talk about his relationship, he could just be very private with his personal life.
The best way to find out is to ask. Or to nonchalantly say, "You might like to take your wife to such-and-such place." Then see how he reacts.
1) "What? I'm not married!"
2) "Oh, yeah. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll tell [wife's name] about it."
3) Looks sheepish and says nothing.
In the first two, you know the answer for sure. If it's the third, run far away.

did anybody here ever think that maybe this guy is just wearing a ring, on his ring finger because someone bought it for him but it only fits on that finger or he is just wearing a ring on it? its not rocket science to think that maybe he is just wearing a ring

You know what? I just don't get that either...Why would a guy wear a ring on his ring finger is he's not married? It would only attact women who like married guys, and those are not even the majority. I used to wear a siver ring instead of my gold one when I was married, only because I would have gotten the gold damaged in the work I do.
But as a single guy I would never intentionally wear a ring of any sort on that finger. I don't know if its different in your country, but in America it still means you are married or engaged.
I remember a funny episode of Sienfeld where George wore a wedding ring to attract women at a party. He was rejected roundly by every woman he talked to! So like I said ...I don't get it either!

If it's on his "ring" finger, it's probably signifying something. Best to ask him, or ask someone who knows him well.

I don't like this guy like that, but I was just wondering if guys do like girls do 'cause sometimes I wear a fake ring if I want guys to leave me alone or something.
