They're exceptionally easy to write, I used to write them for a college newspaper. They're based on manipulating human needs and wants, money, romance, relationships, death and personal issues.
I can write you one right now if you like:
Today you will meet someone that will change your outlook on a personal issue you have. You will see the colour blue a lot today. The number 23 will feature prominantly in your day. You will come across a situation today that you will successfully resolve and will strengthen your relationship with a loved one. You will breathe in air today and will feel the need to excrete bodily waste. Venus will align with mars tonight and this will have the effect of making you require sleep. Sometime in the future you will die.
See? Easy.

Horoscopes are usually vague genralizations that just about anyone could make fit. I would suggest instead of just going for a general star sign thing, that you go for a full astrology report that is more specific to your dtae, time, place of birth etc.
Thats said, it makes absolutely no sense to me, I just can't find any scientific logic in them, (and I like rational proven reasoning behind these things lol) ... however I do see an astrolger every few years (the same one) and she is freaky and even predicts things spot on that I sit there and say , 'nah, no way, not me' to, ..but they happen.
That said, she is also a genuine psychic and mixes her psychic intuition in with her astrology (you dont need to be psychic to plot a chart btw) and I think that is what makes this particular lady so good, ...she is not given a text book parrot fashion speil, ... she comes out with totally random and accurate details all in between.
Obviously I suggest you finds a psychic who does astrology, .. not just someone who has learnt how to plot a chart and what a book says it means.

What is your horoscope? Don't pay for it!
I really like AOL.com and mylifetime.com for astrologic information.
But if you want a psychic reading contact the regina russel! They are AMAZING! I swear by them. I see your from the UK, but they do phone readings toll free. =)
Also, don't take horoscope entirely to heart. There are much more factors than just horoscope that determine a person. Concerning the zodiac as well, you have to consider more of a numerology aspect to REALLY grasp a persons personality. But then there is also the moon sign, time of birth, how the planets were aligned.
Horoscopes really just give a generalization of that persons character. However, there are also such things as cuspians- birthdays that fall closely to another sign.
I reccomend a numerology compatibility report if your looking something along the lines of compatability with someone in specific.
Otherwise, just take horoscope as a over view of yourself and people.
I am a Sagittarius and I am apparently one to burn a hole in my pocket- wrong! I am very money conscience! And my perfect match is a Gemini- true. However, I get along well with my most wrong match, Taurus. Least the cuspian ones...

Horoscopes work for 1/12 of the world. Because they keep is vague and specific without being TOO specific. What is the average person who looks at horoscopes? Someone with internet access, car, job, etc. Those people experience average problems such as relationships, finance, etc. So what horoscopes does is keep is "average" to make it seem like it's accurate.Though Horoscopes are fun to read and the "science" behind it is rather interesting, don't take them to heart. If a horoscope says it's going to be a good/bad day, it all truly depends on you. Don't put your heart out to it.
