Do you want to be having oral sex at your age though?
The only other reason for shaving down there is to avoid embarassment:
1) if swimming at school... no board shorts!!! damn. that's why I started.
2) for guys, friends sometimes drop your pants and its altogether less embarassing if there isn't a huge bush.
Random but true.

1.] Soften it w/ conditioner and warm water
2.] If its really long trim it w/ scissors
3.] Use Bikini Zone [it prevents razor bumps, can be found at your local store]
4.] After shaving, use a cooling or moisturerizing lotion to reduce dry skin
I only shave half of it because im too scared to look or do the rest I cant wait till i get older so I can get a bikini wax, I hear it hurts but its worth it. Good Luck I Hope this helps you

Be ready to shower it off well right away, too. I know you shouldn't be getting into oral sex, but let's be realistic, that's the main reason for shaving down there, so you feel things better and he doesn't get a mouthful of hair!
But either way, it's not disgusting, just personal preference.

I use Philips Bikini Perfect system. It's not cheap but in the end, much cheaper than waxing. You can use it in the shower, so it's very convenient. It has a shaver and an epilator that removes hair by the root ( not the most pleasurable thing, but great for the bikini line).
For ingrown hair, the waxing salon I used to go to sold a miracle product that cost 15 dollars. Reading the label, I realized it was made of witch hazel mixed with aspirin, so I made it myself by crushing aspirin tablets in witch hazel solution. It works great. You can also use pure aloe vera.
I hope this helps. In the end, do whatever helps your confidence.

The guys who actually care about you will like it either way. And thats the truth. The way you naturally look should always be accepted. If anyone is disgusted by the way you look then you know they are not a good person for you.
What guys like depends on the guy. But if a guy is to have sex with a woman, or lick her, I think it is preferred to have it trimmed down there, just for hygienic purposes and not to get hair in their mouths. But that is something a girl your age should not be planning on doing as sex is for those over the age of consent only.

My girlfriends have tended to shave, yes. It's not a turn off really either way, unless it's a big bushy mess, just she same as men should groom themselves.

It's a personal choice. Some girls like to be natural and hairy, some like to be tidy and just keep their pubic hair trimmed and others like to be completely bare down there. Just do whatever you are comfortable with. It doesn't matter what everyone else is doing! Guys preferences also vary! However, I don't think many like their girlfriends to be like a 'forest' and i've also read that SOME guys don't like 'all bare' because it makes them look like a little girl who hasn't started puberty yet... but for others, they complain about hair getting in their mouth during oral and prefer completely shaven girls. It's up to you what you want to do! But if you do decide to go for the Brazillian look then be cautious about ingrown hairs because they are very common.

It can be good to trim is so it doesn't get intertwined when you have your period. Just use a small pair of scissors (get the ones they sell in beauty salons, they are small and perfect for this purpose). It is also good to shave it a bit if you get a lot, so that no hair will show when you go swimming or wear shorts. What you do is cut the hair first with the scissors, and just leave the stubble. Then you shave it either with a razor or the electrical shaver. Go gently and slow. Don't use the shaving foam too close to your vagina, or you can get irritated as the skin down there is more sensitive than on your legs. Then follow all other shaving rules, it is best if you just got out of the shower and the hairs are softer, and shave in the direction of the hairs, then sideways, and you should be good. Shaving in the opposite direction of the hairs increases the chance of getting cuts.

It's pretty tough to nick yourself with a disposable razor, so go that route. The mentioned ingrown hairs are from taking skin with the shave, so keep a light pressure on the blade and you'll be fine.

I don't think a 13-15 year old girl need to shave it all off.
IT is a LOT of work to maintain. Once you start shaving it is very easy to get ingrown hairs, if not done correctly or with a blunt razor - ingrown hairs in that area is not comfortable.
Start by trimming if you have a BIG need to grooming.
