You can pass a STD even with oral sex.In the last 5 years, I've known over 15 men who got an STD from a woman through oral sex only and they were surprised! They were unaware that this was possible. A female that I'm seeing is a doctor... she has told me that over 10,000 young people(ages 11 to 16) in the last year had a STD of the 'mouth' only just in my city of Washington DC metro area and sadly that over 1300 of them had contracted HIV.Condoms are not the safe all, but are needed in this trifling age we live in.

 The only reason I would ever consider wearing a condom (never done it yet, but was married 20 years until recently) while receiving oral sex from a lady is a concern that she may pass me a sexually transmitted disease. Being presently STD-free and verified, I'm not concerned about transmitting to her, but would absolutely use one, with concern for the lady, if that status ever changes.
Oral stimulation to completion (both ways) is one of my favorite activities with my lady, so if she had an issue with taste, smell, swallowing or anything else, we would not not likely be together long. That's why we would both be considerate, healthy, clean, disease-free, pleasing to each other and adventurous.

It's a matter of preference, for either the man or the woman.I'll list some reasons I can think of below:To avoid giving someone a STD.If the woman doesn't like the taste - flavored condom.If the woman doesnt want the man to cum in her mouth.If the man prefers the feelIf the oral sex may lead somewhere else, to save time, and perhaps kill the mood.Some people do, some people don't. Its all about preference.
