writes:Im on the pill and its slightly new to me, Im on a pill which allows me to have a 7 day break to have my period. I'm due to start taking my next set of pills tomorrow however my period is not finished. Do i wait until my period is finished before starting the next course or start when my period is done?

 No you take it seven days after you took the last one. The pill has an effect on when you come on your period but if yours lasts a while then you will start the new packet before you come off it. This means you are protected from getting pregnant. x

 no dont, you must stick to the routine that you have started. make sure you only take seven days for your break, it doesnt matter if your period hasnt finished, it will take some time for it to get into the routine. i have been on the pill for about 4 yrs and my period still doesnt go exactly by the packet! dont worry about it just stick to the days and dont forget to take it everyday!!

I'd call the doctor's office but I was on the pill for 10 years and my doctor always told me to follow the pill dosage regardless of what my body is doing. Eventually your body will conform to the pill cycle.
