 You say you are not sure if he is single and he is about 2 years older. This indicates that you do not know each other very well. I also get the feeling he is completely oblivious to your feelings towards him.
I would hold off telling him how you feel, at least until you get to know each other a little better. Relationships and feelings can take time to develop.
I feel that you are setting yourself up for rejection by telling him how you feel at the moment. When you get to know him, then you will be able to guage whether you have a chance or not. Don't rush things.

heva am kindda in a similar situation, but what I do is that I get a frnd's help; we talk together when he's around & when am shy to start the talk my frnd does it n then leaves us space to talk, so we talk n throu talkin I got to know stuff about him...& hopefully time will make me know him better n realize if he feels the same or what...so what u need to do, is try to get close to him by opening different subjects, let him know ur personality well, talk n talk n talk...n most of all dont rush things, wait a little n who knows maybe he's about to say he likes u...so get close to him n leave him to say how he feels by himself...
