 There is not nearly enough information here to give you even a hint. Since you're at church, ask the minister for soe guidance. That's what they do. What's wrong with your relatonship? One thing you should be taking away fro church is a good moral compass. Talk to somenody because you're headed in the wrong direction. I know this because you've already found somebody else that interests you. That is called temptation and will popison your judgement.

What is the relationship like between you and your son's father? Why do you have reservations about your relationship?
I would suggest that you at least deal with one relationship at a time, you cannot give the current relationship a fair chance if you already thinking of jumping ship...
