Hey everyone, i just need some quick advise. I'm on the 28 day pill, i forgot to take it last night, and i was just about to take today's pill but noticed that i must have lost the pack when i was on my way home on monday after staying at my boyfriends for the weekend... I'm aware of all the risks of not taking the pill properly, i was just wondering whether i should just start next month's pack instead and carry on as normal from then?

HereAreMyTwoCents agony auntAlso, I forgot to mention that if you're taking orthotricyclen, it's ok to miss one day of pill, and just double up the next day, so if you have not missed today's you can just double up on yesterdays and today's from your fresh pack, making sure that you are taking the RIGHT COLOR pill from this new pack, as if you are picking up where you left off on the old pack. If you're not taking orthotrycyclen, then check the instructions that come with your pill that tell you what to do if you have missed ONE day.

HereAreMyTwoCents agony auntIf you don't want a baby and don't have anything against the morning after pill I highly suggest getting it today, asap. It loses efficacy 72 hours after the last sex act. So if you had sex Sunday night or Monday morning and didn't take the pill starting Tuesday, yesterday there's a chance you could get pregnant. This pill will give you a period and a lot of nausea and headaches, but then you can start over with a fresh pack of your birth control. And I am not a doctor. So don't take my advice as if I am a doctor. SO BEFORE YOU START THE NEW PACK TALK TO A DOCTOR. TALK TO THE NURSE AT YOUR DOCTOR'S OFFICE, USUALLY YOU CAN ASK A QUESTION LIKE THIS OVER THE PHONE AND THEY'LL GET BACK TO YOU. Let me know if you have any other questions.

LilPixie agony auntMy doctor is useless! lol. I read the instructions but it didn't say anything about that...

Me and my boyfriend are in a long distance relationship, so the no unprotected sex thing is no problem :P

I'll go the chemists as soon as i can... thanks :)

Whatever happens, don't have unprotected sex. Is there any chance you could speak to your doctor? As a male, I'm not sure about taking next months pills. Hopefully you'll get a better answer but maybe see what your doctor or a chemist says?
