to be honest, she would probably rather know, and it's in her interest too, etc etc. If you keep it quiet and she finds out, then it would be more awkward, and ultimately it's best to be open about certain things. Why would you not want her to know?

I was on it when I was 14 due to some issues that happened during that summer. My mother never knew about it. Would advise you tell ehr in case she finds out and gets the wrong end of the stick like mine did!

You dont need permission to go on the pill, your parents dont have to know any of your medical details its called doctor patient confidentiality.
But i would talk to her i think she would be more annoyed if you lied to her and atleast it shows your being responsible and honest.
