Why is everyone telling you shouldn't worry??? I would! The truth is absolutly yes you could be pregnant. Everytime you have sex you are taking the risk of getting pregnant. (Even more so if you don't use contraception) It doesn't matter if it was before, during, or after your period. My cousin concieved *TWINS* while she was on her period because she didn't believe she could get pregnant while on her period. ( twins ran in her fam though, NOT trying to scare you lol) To everyone that told her no she shouldn't be worried : Shame on you!!! Get your facts straight!! Don't guess! Its late to get a "plan B" pill now,( you can still ask your doc though, but you should anyways, im no m.d. lol) but DO test one day after your missed period. Test with the "first pee of the morning." And next time DO use protection or get on birth control if you do not want to get preggers. Best wishes to you and good luck!

If you mean only one day ago, there's still time for emergency contraception. Go to plannedparenthood.org to find out more information about how to obtain it, or go down to the pharmacy and speak with the pharmacist. Panicking isn't going to help you here, you have to get smart about it, since you have made this mistake. Okay? Breathe, calm, THINK.
Good luck.

Can I get pregnant during my period?
Pregnancy can occur from intercourse that takes place during a period. This is because sperm can live in the body for up to five days, and if a woman ovulates soon after her period, then conception could take place from intercourse that occurred during her period.

If this is your boyfriend, better to have the talk up front, what will we do, what will you do if I fall pregnant. You can learn a lot about him by his answer and his reaction.

You can get pregnant if you have unprotected sex for the first time, you can get pregnant having sex any time throughout your cycle even if you are on you period, as sperm lives inside of you for up to three days and you never know when you might ovulate so the sperm can impregnate you at any time.
Yes, it is a dumb move. If you are hell bent on being sexually active at your age, go to a planned parenthood and ask for a birth control prescription and use it. Use condoms to protect from STDs and realize that because you are sexually active at your young age you are at a very high risk of contracting the HPV virus which can cause cervical and anal cancer. The virus is very prevalent, there are 43 active strains of it and can live under fingernails, condoms do not protect against it. There is a vaccine for the virus, I recommend that you get it.
Get an early pregnancy test and read the directions carefully and test for pregnancy, or make an appointment with a doctor for that as well.

no, don't worry. if you stress to much then you could miss a period and then believe that you are pregnant. Leave it for a few weeks, if you still think that you may be pregnant, just take a test.
If you're not then you're not, if you are then you just have to think about what you want to do - keep it, abortion, adoption, it's your choice, just relax and it will be okay.
good luck
