writes:do guys really prefer girls with long hair? I have really long dark hair down to my waist, but most the time I leave it naturally curly/wavy because it looks nicer and has more texture. But the amount of guys who mention my hair on a night out is strange!! I never expect a guy to comment on my hair really, like i don't expect they notice it much. But guys will be like 'your have beautiful hair', 'i want to run my hands through your hair', 'you've got the nicest hair i've ever seen on a girl'. even my friends find it odd when guys talk about it. I asked the guys in my flat the other day about it and they said guys love girls with long hair, especially because mines naturally curly and that long it looks sexier. I said what if my hair was up to my shoulders, wouldn't guys like that and they said they aren't fussed about what hair length a girl has, but given the choice long hair on a girl is more attractive and that the curls have some sort of sex appeal... is this true?

Some guys might prefer your legs,boobs or bum instead but its less weird if a complete stranger compliments your hair.
Some may like long hair better but I don't think its ever a requirement for a girlfriend,men aren't that shallow.At least it gets you noticed.

 In Western society, long hair on women is considered a beauty trait. The majority of men prefer long hair, from the shoulders to the waist is the prefered length.
Straight hair is considered more attractive in fashion today, but if your hair texture is not normally straight, using heat treatments like blow drying and flat irons can damage it severely and make the ends look frizzy and dry, so treat your hair with super TLC and try to NEVER use any sort of heat on it. The longer your hair is, the older the ends are, and the more delicately you must treat it.
Men prefer healthy looking hair at any length over dry, frizzy, straw-like hair that is long, so treat your hair like antique lace, braid it before bed and use satin or silk pillowcases to minimize friction.

 Perhaps they take notice because super long hair that is in good shape, and not completely torn up by split ends, etc. - it's pretty rare to see. So, perhaps they comment so much because it's such a novel sight!

Im Muslim and I wear my hair covered under a scarf now but guys still hit on me lol. Guys are just guys. It's a easy line to say too. Ohh I love your hair, you got beautiful eyes etc. I wouldn't even give it a thought I'm sure you'd be beautiful no matter what the length.

 A lot of men find long hair more attractive because it is very feminine, so a pretty girl with long hair is a 'classic beauty' so to speak.
However I know plenty of girls with short hair who are fancied by a lot of men (look at Frankie from the Saturdays), and many of my female friends have short hair and they are always chatted up by plenty of men so I dont think it is a big deal really.
You just have nice hair - simple as that! Enjoy the compliments and dont think too much into it, everyone has individual tastes and we all like different things, it just so happens that you have hair that clearly appeals to lots of men!

 I have found that most guys like long hair... some prefer curly some straight.
my very weird husband prefers short and straight so I think that it's going to depend on the guy.... therefore wear your hair to please yourself....
