These type of feelings are especially normal at your age since you are in puberty. However mood swings can happen at any age but they get less intensive as you get older. Boy's also have mood swings.

I was a horrible teenager, and had lots of mood swings! I got angry over nothing, then got upset because I was angry and didn't know why, then got angry again!
It got better as my hormones balanced out.
I found going to the gym and running really helped keep control of my energy and anger levels.
Good luck

Absolutely, especially at your age. The reason women are famed for having mood swings is because they have fluctuating levels of hormones throughout the month whereas men don't get this as much once they're through puberty. However, when you're in the middle of puberty as you are right now, it's natural for tempers to flare, for you to be upset for no reason etc...
Some people do have real issues with anger and can't let anything go but now is a time in your life where you have the power to stop yourself going down that path. Try pausing when something upsets you and try to work out in that moment whether it's a real cause to get angry and stressed or not. 9 times out of ten it's not. Once you feel you have some control and ownership of your anger, your depression should become less. As for being insecure, that's part of the teenage experience I'm afraid but it will pass.
