I'd say it's pretty normal to expect a woman to be on top SOME OF THE TIME at least, but to say she's expected to do ALL the work is a bit of a stretch. Sometimes a man wants to be able to take control, which puts him on top (or behind), but sometimes a guy just wants to lay back and enjoy the show, putting the woman on top. Life would be boring if there were no variety, so I think most men want a little bit of everything at one point or another.

 Well I would say that normally men are expected to go on top - the "classic" sex position if you like is missionary, where the man is on top of the woman.
But there are hundreds of sex positions, and the best thing to do is to experiment and find the ones you and your boyfriend enjoy the most! Mixing it up from time to time so sex doesnt get boring is probably the best thing you can do!

 Not necessarily, although that position does have one or two benefits from a mans perspective. A lot of men prefer to be 'in the driving seat' so to speak (women underneath), but it should really be about what satisfies the most, not whatever normal is supposed to be.
