I've tried fake tan and the colour was nice and it was a nice even colour but it really didn't suit me at all. so I stopped using it. or do all boys have different preferences? and does anyone else have the same problem? x Reply to this Question Share |

I absolutely love pale skin and especially redheads. Maybe its because there are so many barbie clones out there, with an inch of makeup, ridiculously high shoes, bleached blonde hair, orange tan, fake lashes and dresses that have to be pulled up at the top and pulled down at the bottom every two seconds. Its incredibly unattractive and it just screams insecurity. Don't be a barbie, just do what suits you best.

Hi, I'm a guy. Personally, and I'm sure the majority of boys my age will concur, I am more concerned about other more appealing and pleasing body features( innuendo intended)other than the presence, or absence, of a tan.

In general? Most males won't care one way or another. You might as well ask what color your nail polish should be.
And yes, the part about your skin going to look like leather is true, but think the age of 24 rather then 30. Imagine your face looking like Charles Bronson when you smile. And no, that is NOT attractive in a girl.

Every day he compliments me on how I look. Unlike my ex-boyfriend, who talked a lot about how much he loved girls with tan lines... yes, tan lines, apparently they were more important to him than the tan itself... and made me feel like crap about many things about my appearance. He is my ex for a reason. If a fake tan doesn't suit you (BRAVO for not tanning and risking skin cancer, by the way!!), don't do it!!! Don't go with the trends or what you think boys want, ESPECIALLY if they don't suit you! This goes for clothes, makeup, jewelry, everything. Not only is going your own way a confidence-boosting move and a great character trait, it's also the best way to look your best. Not all trends suit everyone's looks equally. You can try the ones you think are a good idea, but if they're not for you, take a pass.

Just like there are people who are beautiful blonde and some who are more beautiful brunette, there are people who look better tan and those who look better pale. There's no one size fits all for attractiveness. Plus, getting a suntan is so bad for your skin, you'll look like a leather handbag by age 30. I personally think pale skin is beautiful.
