writes:Hello I have been with my current boyrfriend for nearly two years now and had recently had a rocky period when I found texts that he had sent to a girl, which were very flirty.During this rocky time, he told some of his friends that he had slept with another girl and cheated on me. I heard rumours and then asked myself it was true. This girl was his old best friend before they had a bust-up over a year ago. They hadn't spoken for a year when he said he had slept with her. However, a day later she comes to me promising me its not true, but they have started talking again as friends. The three of us then went to see him and he also now denies that this was true.I don't understand if it isn't true why he would say it? And whether to believe them. It is also difficult because we are also currently students at the same college and within a close proximity of each other. Any help on this situation or help me find my feet would be helpful.

Who are the other two people... the female best friend, and the one of the guys your boyfriend made the comment to? Is everyone denying everything now? Or do his friends still say that your boyfriend made this comment to them? And does your boyfriend admit he made this comment?
You said you found flirty comments on your boyfriend’s phone. Is this a different girl and is he still friends with her?
What did your boyfriend and his female best friend have a “bust up” about a year ago? It must have been pretty serious if they weren’t on speaking terms for an entire year. Does she have a boyfriend, and did she ever date your boyfriend before you met him?
Your boyfriend may be telling you the truth, it’s really hard to say. However, you caught him sending another girl flirty text messages, and this rumor is a bit suspect. I’d definitely keep my eyes peeled, but I’d also talk to one of his guy friends in private about the rumor.
