A male reader, rcn United States +, writes (5 January 2011):

rcn agony auntYou're at church, talk about God. That's a good start. Just begin by saying hi, how are you and go from there. Pick something you two have in common, like church. Say something like, "Wasn't that song .........." Whatever you choose. Or ask him a question, "wasn't that a good sermon?" etc. If you two are in a line together, find conversation there. That's a good place, because there really isn't anything else to do. Just remember, it all begins with simply opening your mouth and saying hi. It will progress from there.

Take care.
