A male reader, spinnaker United States +, writes (15 May 2011):

spinnaker agony auntThe key is establishing boundaries. He just broke up with his girlfriend and you do not wish to be the rebound gal. What boundaries do you think you need to set in order to prevent becoming the rebound gal?

A few big boundary issues coming up in any relationship are:

- time spent together

- physical intimacy

- topics of communication

- How much information you share about yourself

- How much information you allow others to share with you

You can spend time with this guy and even like him but be mindful of what boundaries you need to set in order to avoid getting really hurt.

I hope this helps and please keep us updated
