writes: I have a question just out of curiosity. Why are some womens' periods so much heavier than others? For example, mine is really heavy for six days, and then light for two more, when my friend says she has just four days of light bleeding. I'm not worried about myself, or anything like that, I'm just curious. What is different about two people's bodies that makes this so?

Same with why do some girls start their periods at the age of 9 while others don't get them until they are 16. I wouldn't worry about it if i was you, after all, it is normal to have different period types from other women.
