writes:My boyfriend and i are going to be using my jacuzzi tub tomorrow night (not for sex, but other things) and the whole pregnancy issue resurfaced again..Does anyone know if its possible to get pregnant if sperm gets released into the water of the jacuzzi while I'm in it??

reader, anonymous, writes (20 September 2007): i sure hope not because it is so hard to get pregnant in straight up sex, with all the chemicals, and the heat it's highly unlikely to get pregnant especially if you aren't having sex. I have the same question though about me and my girlfriend. But I guess that anything is possible.

 I wouldn't think so, sperm dies in certain temperature which is probably much lower than the water temp in the jacuzzi. I wouldn't worry about it. You also have the chlorine factor, which should take care of it too.

Add to which the chlorine in a jacuzzi and the high temperature (sperm likes body temp - 37 degrees celsius), there isn't even the slightest chance of pregnancy.Also, BTW, here are some other things you won't get pregnant from: using the same toilet, sharing underpants, kissing, holding hands, sex with a condom/female oral contraceptive, sharing baths/showers, lying naked together, sharing a bed, and generally being in each others presence. Only one thing gets you pregnant: unprotected, penatrative, vaginal sex.
