 I suggest you quit the football team and try and keep away from him as much as possible. You have a crush, and it is very normal to have a crush on a games teacher as these are the men that are normally young and fit. So dont worry - you are perfectly normal.
But your friends are right, if you keep pushing it with your teacher and act inappropriately around him he could get into trouble and lose his job. So in order to get over your crush and make sure this never happens, you need to try and stay away from him. Dont run over to him to say hello, dont take any extra classes that he teaches etc - the only time you should see him is in a class you MUST take. If you limit the amount of times you see him, the more your crush will fade. But if you keep doing all you can to see him more, the worse it will get.
Try spending more time with your boyfriend so you re-discover your feelings for him, so you will focus on him more than your teacher. And whenever you want to talk about your teacher - stop yourself. You can control the words that come out of your mouth, so simply stop talking about him. Your friends must be bored to death by now, so just stop talking about him and think before you speak.
I promise you, if you can make yourself stay away from your teacher and stop yourself from obsessing about him all the time, and try and focus your attention on other things - then the crush will fade.
