Hi Hunny
When you were married and the beatings were happening did you involve the police??? If so this should still be logged. I had to get many injunctions on my ex and because he was so voilent it was a case of seeking help from victim support who are wonderful also getting help with legal aid if you have no money to see an advocate..I have full care control and Custody..My ex is not allowed anywere near me or my child...Are you divorced? As when I went for my divorce all the information went down and it was my advocate that helped with my care and Custody..

First check your statute of limitations in that county and find out if you can still file.
If you can file, then document all injuries via testimony (affidavit, photographs). Then issue a request for a protective order and they will give you a court date to explain your case.
Remember, courts are rigid; they only want to see or hear threats of injury or injury itself or it's a no go.
I new trend is called Harassment Order, and you no threat or actual injury there. You just need testimony of harassment with as much evidence like too many text messages, etc and a harassment order is put in place.

you'll need to go to a solicitor and see if they can do anything to help you.
give them your side of the story and tell them why your daughter does not wish to see him.
surely they'll know something is wrong if your daughter also refuses to see him.
but definately get to the solicitors ones who deal with family law and also abuse issues as you've clearly been abused for 10 longs years.
some solicitors may charge for advice but not all.
i'm sure they'll be able to take you all to court and sort out this matter.
but you will need a good solicitor so shop around first and see about getting as much advice as you can.
i hope this helps :)
best of luck!
