i would have to disagree with the previous answer. still get a pregnancy test, just to be sure. i say this only because women can still have a period within the first month of possibly getting pregnant (especially with your timeframe). it doesn't hurt to be paranoid enough to get a pregnancy test now and one for later in the month (or if your next period doesn't come).

It seems very unlikely that you are pregnant if you period came at it's expected time.

kenny agony auntGo and get a pregnancy testing kit and find out, its the only way you are going to know for sure, and it will put your mind at ease too.

A male reader, Sandman United States +, writes (3 November 2007):

Sandman agony auntWhile in most cases it is considered "normal" for a woman to NOT have a menstrual cycle/period while pregnant - there are times when a woman will continue to experience periods and is indeed pregnant. That being said, the answer to your question is YES - you could still be pregnant.

The only way to know for sure is if you take a home pregnancy test or go to your doctor for a more definitive serum (blood) test for pregnancy.

Hope this helps.

yep, you could still be pregnant, period is not enough basis... you should've taken post interuptus pills immediately to prevent possible pregnancy.
