A male reader, The Realist Canada +, writes (20 August 2010):

The Realist agony auntI don't really recommend leaving but it is legal. At the age of sixteen you are able to choose to live apart from your parents but once you they are the right to not take you back if you ever choose to come back. I say wait till your eighteen then you two can start your lives together, but if your living with your family is difficul and you know that you two will be able to take care of each other then you should follow your heart. Make sure you understand everything involved in living together and the costs. It tends to be more than you think.

Good luck in what ever it is that you decide to do.
