NO NO NO NO!!

I have known someone who missed their period for two months after she got married. This happens due stress, hormonal changes and adjustments.....YOU'RE OKAY, BUT for your certainty, go and take a pregnancy test to resolve yourself some confidence.

lisarocksyoursocksoff agony auntas DrPsych said, pregnant women can still have a period. i'd just check with your doctor if you're reallly worried though, however i know some girls whose menstrual cycle where altered after there fist tome having sex... i don't know if it is a medical cause or just a coincidence that their periods messed up after having sex, but still that could be a reason.

A female reader, DrPsych United Kingdom +, writes (10 June 2007):

DrPsych agony auntOn some occasions, pregnant women do have some bleeding that could be mistaken for a light period. One rare condition means that women continue to have bleeding throughout pregnancy that is mistaken for periods - however this is very rare. It is unlikely you are pregnant but you can check with a simple pregnancy test of your urine to put your mind at rest. If your periods do not return you should get checked out at the doctors as there are many other non-pregnancy related reasons why your cycles may not be as expected. Having noted your age, I would add that many young women at the start of puberty have irregular periods. Even though you are probably not pregnant now, at your age you don't want to be and there is only one solution to that issue - contraception. If you are old enough to have a sexual relationship, you are old enough to take care of your own body and protect yourself against pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Use condoms or refuse to have sex with him because teenage parenthood is a tough thing to face at your age.

A reader, anonymous, writes (10 June 2007):

Not likely since you had your period after, but why don't you spend the $10 to buy an early pregnancy test at the drugstore, and ease your worries, instead of writing here to people who are not doctors and cannot examine you!

A female reader, Rock chick United Kingdom +, writes (10 June 2007):

you probably aren't pregnant, with already having a period,

sometimes worry can make it late

you can buy tests in chemists for around £5 - they are fairly accurate and it will put your mind at rest

A female reader, anonymous, writes (10 June 2007):

Heya

i think your periods are just irregular and havent regulated yet if you were pregnant you wouldnt of had that period a week later; just be careful on who you sleep with and if he is just using you for sex, because next time you might not be as lucky and get pregnant and he proberly wont want to take care of it

hope this helps x
