writes: I got a yeast infection and my boyfriend bought a tablet in the pharmacy for me. When I asked how he knew what tablet to buy he said he got advice from the guys in work. I might be paranoid but what guy knows what tablet to buy for a yeast infection? Am I being paranoid?

Your not paranoid, you are sensible. Dont ever take any pills or medicines that are not in original packaging or are not from the pharmacy or a doctor.
It is possible to treat thrush (yeast infections) with a one off oral capsule/tablet these days.However I would advise you visit your doctor so that you recieve the correct treatment for your symptoms.
You should also advise your man to get some treatment so that you can avoid a possible re infection being as thrush can be carried on the penis.

reader, anonymous, writes (9 October 2007): Go with your gut feeling... it's obviously not feeling right to you so don't take the pill.... I would bring the pill right back to the pharmacy and just ask them what it is... they can tell you by the numbers and codes on the pill what the pill is and what it is for.... then you will know for sure.
