writes: Hi. I have a question about birth control. I just started Yasmin about 3 weeks ago and i have this tingling sensation in my right foot and sometimes it's like an itching feeling in my lower calf muscles. I've been on Junel and experienced "charlie horses" and then ortho tri cyclen and had the same tingling sensations happen to me and i stopped taking it. I thought that the last time the reason for the tingling sensation was because i hurt my leg exercising ( i did pull a muscle) and it continued even after i stopped the OCP's. Does anyone have a similar experience with these pills ( tingling/weird sensations) or do you think i should stop the pills again? Thanks for your imput

You should be taking vitamins. PreNatal vegetarian vitamins work best for me ---look to see what works for you; I'm on Yasmin, and have experienced only on the first week ever, (6 months ago) of starting Yasmin, incredibly bad leg cramps, one night of an agonizing headache, and a bout of nausea. My girlfriends told me to take/change to prenatal vitamins, and the problems would disappear. So far so good.

Hello,Im not sure i can help you on this question because as Willywombat says you need to see a doctor who would be able to examine you and tell you more about it than i could. There are side effects with the pill but im not familiar with the ones you said so i wouldnt know whether what you've described is a side effect or not. Your best and safest bet would be like i said to see a doctor and he'll be able to advise you or you could pop along to your local pharmasist at the chemist and they will also be able to advice you. Take care.

This question needs to be asked of your healthcare provider or GP. You will not get what you need here. You need to have a full medical history taken and be physically examined. Sorry but I can't help you on this one.
