A female United Kingdom age 26-29, WiccanWonder writes:

Why do so many people think that if you’re a virgin you don’t need to use a condom?

Yes I’m 13 but I know what can happen if you don’t use one… yes I am still a virgin before you jump to conclusions!

But the points in condoms are 1) To stop you from getting aids etc. 2) For you stopping you/your partner getting PREGNANT.

So, basically: Yes you’re a virgin and so is your partner, you can’t get aids or what ever but you could still end up being the mother or father of a baby!

*But Tasha, there are abortions, and the morning after pill*

Problems with abortions are that they can cause severe physiological problems, as you may feel you have murdered your baby, it can lower your fertility rate, cause depression, which comes under physiological problems and it could make you miscarry in later years when you actually want children

Problems with the morning after pill are again, it could cause problems with your fertility rate and it doesn’t always work…

I’ll admit, a condom doesn’t always work either but still, it’s a higher chance of working than the pill. But condoms and the pill will give twice the protection.

Another option is to not have sex until you want kids.

yes that may be hard if you get drunk, due to peer pressure, and if you use drugs, but the simple thing to do it, if you know there is going to be alcohol at a party, don’t drink too much, if its peer pressure then leave that group of friends/dump that boyfriend, it isn’t worth it, and with drugs… just don’t do them, you’ll regret it when you are back to earth anyway.

Anyhow, this is my first article, so it isn’t super long, but oh well, give me your thoughts,

Thanks for reading,

WiccanWonder

IcebergLady agony auntA very good topic and well written first article. Well done, WiccanWonder.

Yes, we should all be responsible so that when we recall those memories, they will give us a happy feeling, puts a silly grin on our face. Not feeling sad and full of regrets.

Prevention is always better than cure.

Look forward to your next article, wise and smart WiccanWonder

Faybelline agony auntI'd say that you're pretty wised up; although I probably would disagree with one or two points about the risks of abortions to fertility as I would say that's quite minimal, but that's not the point, the point is that thinking it's okay if you get preggers cos you can always have an abortion would be the wrong attitude to take and more people should use condoms! It always seems to me both guys and girls always feel it's not their responsibilty to buy/carry them which is quite retarded; it affects your health thus it is your responsibilty!

WiccanWonder, kudos!
