hi this is a slightly embarrassing question but I would like to know the answer. I'm a virgin and my girlfriend has been wanting to do it for some time and so do I but something ocurred to me, that I'm a little worried about. Say you are having sex and you're wearing a condom you come and both you and your girl want to keep going. Are you suppose to put on a new condom or just leave it on? As I said I'm a virgin I didn't pay to much attention in health class and I have no one to ask and even my girl doesn't know so can some one please help me. I really want to and she hasn't done it in over 6 months so she is defiantly ready.

A female reader, k_c100 United Kingdom +, writes (5 July 2011):

k_c100 agony auntIf you have ejaculated you MUST change your condom, as chances are your penis will get a bit softer after you have ejaculated meaning the condom could split, meaning the semen could leak out.

As soon as you have come, change the condom - simple as that. It avoids any potential slippage, or any problems if the condom breaks.

Plus if you are going to be having sex, your girlfriend should go to the doctors to get birth control - condoms do break and sometimes slip, so to fully protect yourselves from unwanted pregnancies get birth control and you will be much safer.

I hope this helps and good luck!

aunt honesty agony auntWell usually when a man reaches orgasm he can't keep going as he goes soft. If it is a case that you feel you can keep going just to be safe remove the condom and put on a new one.
