i am on my period as normal, however my friend told me that i could still be pregnant if on my period, is this true? i also only last 5 days however im on my 10th day now.

scared16 agony auntyes u can very few women do however get their period wen they are prengant but jus 2 put your mind at rest i suggest u take a pregnancy test x x x

Yes, you can certainly be pregnant but do have the test done, and soon.

I had periods for the first five months. I didn't know i was pregnant until then so do go and get checked out.

DrPsych agony auntThere is a very rare condition that means it is possible, but usually a period signals the loss of the lining (of the contents) of the womb so it is rather unlikely. Sometimes periods are longer, sometimes shorter - 10 days of bleeding is unusual. If you are worried then see a doctor. Unusual bleeding should be investigated as a precaution as it may signal a hormone imbalance for instance.
