dear cupid,

i have a friend who i havent talked to in a while...

It's not because things got weird or something, its just that we dont have classes together anymore and i hardly see him!

I really want to ask him to a particular dance next month, and i want to do it in a super funny nor punny nor cheesy way, because our friendship has always been really relaxed and fun!

The internet has been no help to me, and i was wondering if you had any ideas? he likes soccer, and we always joke around, so the funnier the better! thanks

A male reader, no nonsense Aidan United Kingdom +, writes (11 February 2013):

There’s no point hinting, you should just come out with it. Why not point out that you’ve not done anything really fun together for a while, so if he was up for a good night did he perhaps want to come to this dance you’ve got to go to? That doesn’t sound cheesy, it comes across as casual and relaxed. Hope that helps.

I wish you all the very best.
