Every time we had sex it would pinch and hurt as he entered me, but after a while it would go away and would feel pleasure. Does any one know what is going on? Is it possible that he didn't pop my cherry?

Of course it's possible to have sex without rupturing the hymen. It's called " compliant hymen " ( when the membrane is very elastic and yields without tearing ) and it's not even that rare. With time, after a few "assaults", the membrane will be in tatters and you won't feel the pinching sensation any more.
