The simple answer is yes yes and yes. love take many form between 2 people. I love my wife my friend and my cousen and have strong affections for other people. As long as it does not affect your relationship with your dearest it is ok. Go with your feelings with a person only after you have spent a lot of time getting to know all about them. time sorts out most relationships. G x

I know everyone says yes, but I say no. You can really really want two different people, but that pretty much always comes down to 'liking them both for different reasons' eg, one is 'the good- looking ok boyfriend' and the 'oh so sweet male friend' etc. It comes down to simply not wanting anyone else to have what you're not sure if you want, just in case you lose out. When you meet someone you truly love, simply no-one, no matter what, compares.

Well I believe you can love many people, but you have to pick one, or none, or I guess end up on sister wives....

Three is a crowd, someone always gets left behind. No fun.

Yes, but it will make you crazy eventually. You will someday have to choose one over the other.

A reader, anonymous, writes (12 February 2011):

I am in an exemplary situation at the moment. I love my guy and I love how I dont know another guy too. But my lov definitely varies in degree depending on the reactions of the second guy though we have no affair at the moment. SO it is possible to have feelings for 2 people at the same time. But one is definitely mature and stronger than the other. You have to weigh it out.

A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (12 February 2011):

aunt honesty agony auntI guess it could be a possibilty but more than likely it would just be confusion as the person doesnt know who they really want to be with. I think if you feel like you are in love with two people then you need to distance yourself from both and work out who it is you really cant live without.
