hi

this may sound like a silly question, just wanted some information.

I Have bidded on a flat for 2 days now and im still in 1st place although i have bidded on alot in the past but never reached 1st place like i have now which is great news, the bidding ends 22/06/2010. only bidding on a council home because im still young and have a baby on the way and at the moment me and my partner are living at my parents jammed in a small room so im grateful the council are helping us. my partner has a job and i also have a part time job but we worked out we wouldnt be able to afford private renting or buying a house so i guess we just decided to bid then all we would have to do is pay weekly rent and bills. the flat says only vacant to those who are in need of a two bedroom flat, does this apply to me? im 6 months pregnant.

Go to this site

http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/

and find out where your nearest office is. They can help you with benefits for your child, housing and such. And it's all free.

From what you've said, given that you're pregnant, I would have thought that you would be able to get the flat. But the best thing you can do is speak to those at the Citizen's Advice Bureau, because they will be able to help you with pretty much anything for free.
