writes: Hello,I have a low sexual desire and know that it is causing problems with my relationship. I am mad at myself for not wanting sex, but I just have a really low desire to be intimate with my husband. It is causing stress in my life and I want to know if other women have this same problem. What treatments are there or any other advice? Do you think I should talk to my doctor about this? Thanks!

If your doctor is worth his/her salt, they will be totally professional and supportive. Take a deep breath and ask. You have nothing to lose and look what you will have to gain! Good luck, you'll do just fine.

Absolutely talk to your doctor! There have been a couple of medicines mentioned on the news lately. Plus it's always best to first get a clean bill of health before you address any physical problems. Good luck, I'll bet you'll be back in the saddle right quick and in a hurry.

I think it's common. To be honest, I don't always have a sex drive until foreplay or even after the penis is in. I think you need to talk to your husband about "prepping" you more. I think it's all in your mind and if you want to have that drive, you'll get it if he's doing all the right stuff...eg oral sex, fingering, kissing is a definite helper too (neck, body, lips), etc etc.
