writes: Dear Cupid, I have been stupid and need help. Me and my boyfriend were fooling around last week after having a drink and had sex (this isn't our first time) but afterwards we joked about having children and he put it back in as a joke without a condom on. We laughed it off and went to sleep but I was talking to a friend and she said that I could have gotten pregnant? I never even considered this and feel so stupid, neither of us want children as we want to focus on our careers.. Is it a possibility?

Depending on the guy, when he ejaculates, he can produce anywhere from 40 million sperm to 80 million and a few men can produce as many as 1.2 billion sperm EVERY time he does release his semen.
That's an awesome set of opportunities for him to get you pregnant.
What reduces the possibilities of you getting are that most of the sperm were captured by the condon. But not all. Because his penis, especially the tip, were covered in the semen the moment he filled the condom
Plus a few last stragglers would have remained lurking just inside his penis ready to slide out if the time was right, such as when he re-entered you.
Forty million to eighty million an even up one point two billion sperm represents an awesome load of semen. Especially as those released start swimming immediately in an effort to find the egg.
Plus it only takes one strong swimmer and then it's time to get the smocking magazine out to choose what pattern you want to embroider on the baby clothes.
And those semen can remain alive for many hours or even a day or so as they lurk in the love canal. Thus, even if they are slow and steady swimmers they can still make their way up to their desired destination.
Thus, Yes, it is a possibility.
When it's next time, then remind him to keep it on until he's done, and then apply a new one if he wants to continue.

Yes. Penis in vagina without protection = baby making. If he had just ejaculated the chance of getting pregnant would be high enough for you to take a Plan B pill (morning after pill).

Yes there is a risk of pregnancy if some off his semen got inside of you. Try not to worry about it, it is unlikely but you both need to be more careful. Having children is not something to joke about. If you are both being intimate and not wanting children then I suggest going to see your doctor about contraception.

Yes. If he came in the condom it would have been smeared over his penis and depending how delicately the condom was taken off could have gotten more on himself than he noticed. Also sometimes after the act,as men's penises relax, more ejaculate can leak out. Not something to happen always or to everybody but it does happen. This could have happened inside you.
Any sex can lead to pregnancy, even with condoms, so best not to tempt fate!
