I am aged 53 and would love to meet a nice man please tell me it isnt true that all men want young girls. I like to think I am attractive and hopefully nice company but it seems a shame if I have to resign myself to the fact no one is ever going to want me because of my age. I spoke to a male colleageu at work and he says there must be lots of men who want someone more their own age to go out and about with and have things in common??

No! My mom is 65 years old and has found wonderful men that respect her and love her company because she has such confidence and wisdom at her age. She has turned men down numerous times that are her age basically because they can't keep up with her!!

Keep your head up! It can happen!

I'm 63 and I do like younger women, like those 59 to 62. :) My wife and I are both the same age and people tell us that we look younger than we are. I agree that my wife looks like she is about 52, so I tend to like to look at women who look as young as her or younger, so I guess you might say that I like younger women, but I think that there are some very good looking 60 year old women out there.

ChiRaven agony auntWell, you know, to SOME of us you ARE a "younger lady".

I'm 64, and last year ended a wonderful two-year relationship with a woman who was 53 at the time. (She left me, by the way, if it makes a difference.) Still close friends, but we were just not quite right for one another in spite of having a lot going for us. Now she's 54 and very heavily involved with the man of her dreams ... or so it seems so far. They've been together for more than a year now and things are going very well. He's 56.

Incidentally, I'm now seeing a wonderful woman who is 61 and having a great time. And you can BET that we're NOT playing shuffleboard!

Cheer up! I have good news for you; not all men are interested in younger girls; as "birdynumnums" mentioned, why not even consider younger guys?

I am in my late forties and my present boyfriend is 6 years younger then me; and vow, we are very happy!

Get out there, you will find the right guy; forget about the age issue; my exfather in law is turning 87 in Aug, he is forever telling us; age is in the mind; and looking at him, still traveling, doing 4x4 trips, healthy and a mind like a razor blade,he must have a point.

Good luck!

birdynumnums agony auntSure there are! But you could also become a cougar and hit on younger men now too! What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander! Men have been dating younger women for years! I think at 53 (same age as I am, BTW), if I were single now, I would date men who were the same age, older, and younger! You should date up a storm and find out what works best for you right now! Have fun and behave yourself, 'cause I sure wouldn't! :-D Lol!
