I'm really sick, I have a throat infection and I gave my boyfriend head this week. Is it possible that giving head can cause a throat infection. I know he's clean for std's, but I'm not sure since urine passes through there, it might cause a throat infection.

Danielepew agony auntYour question is whether fellatio gave you a throat infection. Maybe so, but we can't know. Maybe the infection was already there before the fellatio.

However, you have been given good information. You know that many diseases pass from one person to the other through contact that does not have to be sexual. Fellatio can give you many diseases, including AIDS, herpes, hepatitis and HPV, and I am sure that many others. If you were sick before, then it would have been better if you hadn't performed any fellatio. If you were not, then please do not perform fellatio without a condom, which is not a force field that will protect you from everything, but will give you far better chances.

Also, please bear in mind that antibodies to AIDS appear in some people only after six months. So, if you get tested as someone here suggests, err on the safe side and continue to practice safe sex for a period of at least six months, even if you're sure your partner is absolutely monogamous.

you can't KNOW he's STD free but then again if your relationship is pretty strong and you trust him you might be right. urine is basically sterile so that wouldn't do you any harm just so you know. You might just have a sore throat?

ArmyMedic agony auntIt doesn't have to be an STI any bacteria (Germs) found in his pants, will end up on his penis which will be in your mouth and throat after giving him a blow job, as your throat is a very sensitive area when it comes to infection your immune system will have gone on over drive trying to fight off this bacteria.

So basically, make sure he washes his penis before it goes in your mouth otherwise you may as well eat a pair of his dirty pants.

How do you know he is STD free? Doesn't matter if he tells you he is. He could have caught it the day before you gave him head. Giving head to someone with an STD can cause throat infection. I suggest you see a professional ASAP.

Dude. Make him shower and clean thoroughly.

If you are in a relationship and std free there is no reason to where a condom for a blow job. That just kinda ruins the whole idea.
