To put it into context, if he gets aroused during foreplay and puts a condom on, then resumes foreplay for... 5-10 minutes or so, will his erection hold for that length of time (assuming he'll be having sex afterwards)? This is something I should probably know the answer to, but I'm not very experienced on such matters haha. Any answers would be very much appreciated. Thanks a lot :)

Erections occur from both mental and physical stimulation, and all men vary on how much of either thyey need to maintain an erection. Age can have something to do with it. As men age, they usually require more physical stimulation to remain erect. Booze and drugs also affect this, as does physical fitness, how many times he's ejaculated, etc. Condoms can sometimes be uncomfortable, especially of they are tight and could concievably reduce or kill an erection. I know if I wera them, they squeeze the blood out of the penis and make it more, for lack of a better descripotion, narrow. I have, on occasion, lost an erection...not from putting on a condom, but from the break in the "mood" of the moment...so I think it's more a mental thing.

If the condom hurts then it will be a problem, otherwise, at your age, I could stay hard for a month with a naked women next to me! :)

Not your question, but I need to inform you that condoms should not be put on and then you continue with foreplay. Once the condom is on it needs to be used right away, otherwise you risk fractures in the condom as it dries, and the condom will not be as safe to use. Read the package, it says so right there on the condoms themselves. If you put it on you use it right away, don't put it on and then wait for several minutes, because then you aren't having safe sex any longer.
Now, as for your question, yes, men can hold an erection. I've had boyfriends who have maintained an erection for hours without it being directly stimulated. It stays up as long as the man is turned on and horny. Now, sure, not all men work that way, but many do.

It depends on his age, his health, and what's happening in his mind. If he's 18-21 like you are, then it may stay, but if it doesn't it'll come back just fine. It's older guys that have to worry.

It can come and go, but can almost always be re-erected.

yeah it just depends on the man.. and the setting and how into the female he is. Ive had females do certain things that completely turn me off. I think your over all mood makes a difference as well if your tired, or wide awake. If youve been having sex all week or its been a month. Some of those energy drinks can give you an erection for days. and some times you can have one for no reason at all for half a day. and i think there are erection phases sometimes you can get them real easy sometimes you have to work at it. I think if the guy is nervous that makes a difference to. Sometimes you can have an erection even after sex.personally foreplay turns me off i hate all that kissing females really get into the kissing to me its a distraction. plus i have this thing about germs so kissing just grosses me out.

I think the answer depends on the man and whether he is enjoying the foreplay enough to maintain an erection.
for example:
Some men love to go down on a woman, some men do it only because their partner gets so much pleasure from it. Now if he is really into it, then he will stay aroused, however if that session lasts a long time (or he isnt that into it) he may lose his erection. If the session continues until she orgasms then usually her orgasm will re-fire the cylinders and he will be fully erect again. This is of course just a very simplified example and there are a thousand others.
Your post does beg the question... why are you putting a condom on a while before penetration? Is it for BJ? or just convenience?.
