i have just had my suspisions confirmed. Now after my partner has just been away for 2 nights on the bounce - me not knowing where he was, not answering his mobile my partner has just said that he was out pubbing recently and was propositioned by a young pretty girl - he says it has scared him and made him question what he now wants in life .

he is saying nothing else happened but she has obviously made an impact as he was talking today of us splitting up. now he says he doesn't want to talk about it and will try extra hard, no more nights away to make us work.

can a bloke be propositioned by someone pretty and not take her up on it? (handing it to him on a plate- his words)

he says he loves me, but things had been getting him down, too much work, kids playing up, me nagging him and this girl was an ego boost.

now, if he does go away, how can i trust him, when he is considering a single life again after 5 years

A male reader, guylostinlove +, writes (16 December 2006):

Probably realistic enough. If, he got nervous enough to back out right at that moment. I can probably sit here writing and tell you most likely a guy will go for it. But, we never know what happens in a situation like that. A thousand thoughts could run through your head when it's happening and one single thought might happen to have made him think twice and back out on it.

This will probably put suspicions on your head ... but, probably/maybe he did go through with it. And, figured the "I didn't do it" story would give him a good "real" excuse of what happened. The trust will probably be hard to regain. :-/
