My boyfriend's job has picked up a lot which is good but now when i text him and I am done talking i usually say bye or talk to you later to end the conversation but it drives me nuts if he doesn't say bye back or something. Should I just tell him to try to remember to do that or what its not like i am going to die if he doesn't say bye but it just feels like a conversationis still opne you know . Am I weird that I feel this way? lol

But I mean, its kind of a waste to say BYE in a text. Like if he doesnt have unlimited texting, it's just using up his limit. Besides he probably doesn't feel like its all that important, and you shouldn't either. I understand we all have our little quirks, but you should let it slide. it's not like its a huge deal. I've also heard some peoople claim saying bye is bad luck? idk, just wanted to throw that in there.

superbunny agony auntWithout sounding too harsh, I think you need to calm down a bit! He's still talking to you, him just saying bye is just guys being guys. He's busy with work, he may not think of little things. Don't read to much into the lack of a salutation!

Perhaps you're feeling uneasy that his job success is distancing you and reading too much into small things?
