Some of you posters have been really helpful with my last situation... so I'm hoping you can help me with this one!I recently found e-mails (for updates, it seems) from Lavalife in my boyfriend's inbox. Normally that kind of stuff wouldn't concern me, but a few months ago we had a big fight that made me seriously question our relationship. I saw the e-mails from Lavalife and confronted him about it... he insists that he does not know why Lavalife is e-mailing him updates (or whatever). All I know is that one has to be REGISTERED with Lavalife in order to recieve e-mails from them. I even broached the "maybe you registered with Lavalife a long time ago, before you met me" subject, but he insists that perhaps his e-mail address somehow got registered from through the porn sites that he surfs regularly. What do I believe? Who do I believe? Ladies and gentlemen... please give me your input. :(

maybe you could ask this site what they do, but i think i agree with you it seems a little odd but because they are updates suggests that he may not be on the site himself, now!

It depends what the emails are...sometimes I get offers from dating sites that I've never used. Some places sell your email address to other companies or they're somehow affiliated so you wind up getting emails from them.

I can say first hand that lavalife somehow has me on their mailing list and I get TONS of unwanted e-mails. I have been getting them for what seems like several years.
I didn't even know what lavalife was until you posted this.
That e-mail address is pretty old and is not my primary, so I really have no idea how I ended up being on their mailing list.
I don't understand the connection to porn though. I have viewed porn on the computer before, but still don't understand why that would put you in a dating website e-mail list.
