Boyfriend calling me for a party but I'm not sure. What should I do?

Question - (21 March 2012) 1 Answers - (Newest, 22 March 2012)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend has been bugging me to go out partying with him and his mates after school tomorrow. Here is the thing I don't want to go, not because I don't mind partying but because I don't want to feel like a babysitter watching him and his mates get drunk. Im not a drinker myself and have been feeling sick lately so this party dosnt sound like a good idea. Plus, I don't know his mates and usually feel as if I am not "in the same loop as them". There are girls going and im just slightly worried something might happen. I know I shouldn't worry because im usually confident but I have a bad feeling... is this normal???

A male reader, Kyle007 United States +, writes (22 March 2012):

Well, the fact that he is inviting you along shows he is not planning to do anything you don't approve of like another woman.

But it is true, enough alcohol and the absence of one's significant other can change plans.

If I were you, I would go at least once and find out what he is like and what they do.

BTW, relationships with people who don't have this lifestyle are more secure.
