A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Been on the cerazette pill for quite a few months now and I hate it. I would bleed constantly for 3 weeks have a week without bleeding and then bleed for another 3 weeks. It's just a nightmare. I've taken the pill correctly everyday and have never missed one. I have occasionally taken it late but I was well within the 12 hour window that is allowed.

I've kinda worried myself that I may be pregnant. The past 3 weeks my breasts have been so tender. It hurts to touch them and it is impossible to lie on them. I've gone right off my favourite foods and I have been experiencing sickness everyday particularly in the evening.

My mouth has a weird taste in it and my moods have been a nightmare. I'm constantly tired, not matter how much I sleep I still feel tired.

I thought I had a period but its like brown discharge and isn't anything I have ever had before and isn't like a period. I get pains in my lower stomach and I just wondered what are the chances of me being pregnant whilst on this pill?

I've read many stories about people becoming pregnant on this and wondered if the symptoms seem like I may be one of them

I started taking birth control almost five months ago. At first I hated it, I had my period for weeks at a time, I had terrible cramps and I was so ready to get off of it. I told my doctor and she said it takes three months for your body to get use to the pill. so I suffered through the three months and now I get my period once a month and it's so light and short, I get hardly any cramps.

also, I had all the pregnancy symptoms and it's impossible for me to be pregnant considering I'm still a virgin. The only reason I'm on the pill is because I get super bad cramps. the pill tricks your body into thinking it's pregnant, so you tend to get the sore breasts, ect..

You should definitely still go talk to your doctor though and get a pregnancy test done.

Good luck!

Denise32 agony auntI just now went online and looked up the pill you mentioned.

It does say that it may cause "irregular periods" - they may stop or become fewer, but doesn't mention anything about the kind of frequency you describe. However, what you are experiencing could still come under the heading of "irregular periods" would be my guess.

The information did say this medication can cause tender breasts. I don't recall, but I THINK it said something about pains in your legs or stomach.......

Doesn't sound like you are pregnant - though if you have taken St. John's Wort pills that can decrease the protection afford against getting pregnant! And you said you have been taking it as instructed and well within the 12 hour time frame. It also said its important to take the pill at the same time every day.

Hope this helps. It would be a good idea to go see your doctor, however!

Good luck.

person12345 agony auntThere's no way that we can know what's going on. If you believe you are pregnant, take a pregnancy test. Also talk to your doctor and find out what's going on. They will likely do a pregnancy test and switch you to another pill/form of bc.
