i had this same problem, on and off for 5 years now i've had depression, it comes in phazes, and i always "forget how to feel" as you put it. however, i once went for about 9 months of being really really happy, and i do think it is because i let myself completely forget about it. i know how hard it is to forget about it; it's like i kept reminding myself of it before. not deliberately, almost without realising. as you have not had depression for that long, i think that with help, someone could help you to channel your emotions properly.

all the best x

ChiRaven agony auntYou sound like you are experiencing a serious medical condition, clinical depression. This is something that you should get professional help with. Talk to your parents or a counselor or nurse at your school or your family doctor and explain the situation. Tell them that you think you need some help dealing with this.

Untreated depression can be life-threatening, and is nothing to mess around with. Get help and get it soon.

Royofthe Rovers agony auntIt all depends on what the source of the depression is?

It sounds like you need to talk to someone, either friend/family/professional.

Any of the above is gonna help you. Family can be very understanding if they can see how low your are feeling. Dont under estimate your family!!

Don't discount professional help either, go to your doctor and let them know your problems. Depression can lead you away from everyone you love and depend upon. You know you have probably reached a low point if not already, the next step is to get back up with a bit of support.

When your depressed your emotions can feel almost as you covered and stifled. You want to feel them but they dont seem fully there. Talk to someone you can trust. The sooner the better.

Best of luck with everything..
