Lets just hope you're not pregnant.

Many women suffer years of pain from conditions like endometriosis before they are properly diagnosed.
So you need to hunt about for an exceptional doctor. One which takes your complaint seriously starts hunting for a diagnosis. Obviously approaching practices which specialise in gynaecology (not just pregnancy but the full range) increases your chances. Many of these practices also offer "family planning" services and so they tend to keep a low profile in the USA.

cramps can mean many things... i never had that bad period pains just little twinges sometimes but when i got pregnant i used to be in so much pain with cramps and lower back pain, i still have pains for no reason since the miscarriage. with no intention to pry but do you use protection when you have sex and are you still having normal periods. as to birth control i dont know the side affects but it will cause hormonal imbalance, any of these could be the cause but it could be anything else as well. the odd twinge probz isnt serious but anything more should be checked out my a health care professional :) good luck xx
